What is a Production Designer?

Production Designers are the professionals in charge of the set, props, wardrobe, makeup and hair for a film production. They work closely with the director, cinematographer, and producer to help tell the story visually. This site includes a vast collection from numerous designers, most of whom have a direct connection to Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, USA.

Production design, in effect, is the management of the look of a film.
