The father of Special Effects first used a paint brush to erase a mop and pail from a ballroom sequence that was discovered after the set had been torn down. Production Designers help to create a reality that would otherwise be impossible. They often aid in the creation of special effects, as well as inspire and push the effects artists to do even more.

Taught by John DeCuir, Jr.

John DeCuir, Jr. has worked as a film production designer for many films including Ghostbusters, Cleopatra, Hello Dolly, Taming of the Shrew, Muppet Vision 3D, and Top Gun. He was also a Disney designer, who, as a part of Imagineering, designed the EPCOT World Showcase and the iconic EPCOT ball. He teaches Production Design at Asbury.
